SCOOP stands for Scouting Opportunities. The purpose is to scoop up girls and leaders from small or disbanding troops, as well as Juliette scouts. We have several girls that would have quit GS if not for the SCOOP format. For active troops, it combines forces to reduce the work on leaders and combines numbers to increase odds for programming (contacts, speakers, choices offered). It allows for leadership opportunities for girls.
